  <dc:description>     He is directed by the Lords of the Committee of Council on Education to transmit the enclosed copies of Memorials, which have been received from the Councils of the Royal Society of Edinburgh and of the Royal Irish Academy; and he is to inform the Royal Society that, before replying to the same, Their Lordships would be glad to receive any observations which the Council of the Royal Society may desire to make thereon.
     He is to request that they will ge good enough to return the printed Memorial of the Royal Society of Edinburgh.</dc:description>
