Suggests that the milling standard be raised as high as possible and flours diluted with other cereals 'to supply a bread which will not stimulate appetite, but which will satisfy hunger, be digestible, and will supply the energy required for the work to be done' -- urges the necessity of planting potatoes in case of failure in the wheat supply -- describes the need for fat in the diet, and the competition for fats as food from munitions and industry manufacture -- recommends that fats and bacon be given priority shipping just below cereals -- makes allowances for sugar and meat. p227-230. 11 March 1918
