Draft Letter to Treasury from the last meeting  had been approved by the Council.

Reply to the above letter from the Treasury read, accepting the Society's proposals . [Transcript in the minutes]

Read letter from Professor M Duncan re ' the collections of Echinoidea and Ophiuroidea obtained during the voyages of HMS Porcupine and HMS Lightning and rendering them for study, with letters from F W Fulton and A Agassiz.'

Secretary agreed to write officially to Dr Murray with copies of the correspondence between the Royal Society and the Treasury

' Dr Murray promised to enquire into the matter referred to in Mr Duncan's letter. '
