The President proposed that as many go to the country at this season, the meetings of the Society might be adjourned until the autumn, and in the interim the Council might sometimes meet and consider a better way than hitherto to provide good entertainment for the  meetings by establishing lectures grounded upon and tending to experiments.</dc:description>
