Present:  Sir John Hoskins, President;  Mr Henshaw;  Me Hill;  Mr Meredyth;  Mr Perry

  ' Minutes of the last Councill were Read.

Orderd that Mr Aston be desired to take care that the Papers needfull be brought to the Society nest Wednesday and St Andrews day.  And Mr Hunt to speak with him.

Orderd  That Mr Paget be excused from Payments due at Michaelmas  And that Mr Hill tell him we expect something of his work.

Ordered  A Present to be made from the Society to Mr Knox and that it be of about 50 shillings or 3 pounds value.

Resolved  That it is the Opinion of the Councill that Mr Hook should be owned and assisted by the Society as far as lawfully they may, and is warrantable by the Orders and journalls of the Society.

Ordered  That Mr Hook have fifteen pounds upon Account as part of what he is to have when he brings in the Accounts of the Experiments made this year.

Ordered that Enquiry be made for such a Clerke for the Society, as may perform the laborious part of the Secretary's Office. '</dc:description>
