Minutes of last meeting read

Mr Edward Nourse, George Lewis Scott Esq and William Sloane Esq as newly elected members of the Council, took the Oath appointed by the Charter

Mr Burrow reported that the East India Company had complied with the Society's request concerning St Helena

The President reported a letter had been received from Mr Mason of 8 December 1760 ' mentioning that Captain Smith had ordes not to sail, till he should receive new Instructions, which he expected that day, that otherwise everything was ready, and waited only for the wind. '

Reported by Mr Short that the last of the Instruments would be picked up by Mr Syssons the next day

Ordered Charles Hope-wier Esq. to receive Transactions he does not yet have.
