Discussed a letter received by Dr Birch from the Admiralty asking for other places in East Indies for the observations, in  case Bencoolen [Bengkulu, Sumatra, Indonesia] falls into the hands of the French; Batavia [colonial name of the capital of the Dutch East Indies, now Jakarta, Indonesia] recommended.

Two bills presented by Mr Maskelyne from Mr Sissons - instruments and costs listed. 

Mr Davall also ordered to pay bills to Dr Dradley, Mr Shelton, Mr Bird, Mr Dollond, and Mr Waddington.

£60 to be advanced to pay for Mr Maskelyne's and Mr Waddington's passages to St Helena</dc:description>
