Reported by C Morton ' the steps which had been taken by the President, in relation to his late Majesty's grant of the Secound Eight hundred pounds for the observations at Bencoolen [Bengkulu, Sumatra, Indonesia]; and a Copy of his Lordship's late Letter upon that Subject, to his Grace the Duke of Newcastle. '

Mr Short offered, and it was ordered, ' that Mr Charles Mason deliver at Mr Short's House in Surry Street, the Instruments lately returned from the Cape of Good Hope to be inspected by Mr Short; and then to be reposited here, at the Society's House. '

Ordered by ballot the Treasurer to pay the bills of Elizabneth Richardson for printing, and Samuel Revington for stoves.</dc:description>
