Minutes of a meeting of the Council of the Royal Society Present at the meeting: ' A Letter from Mr William Wales being read, mentioning that he had appointed Mr Joseph slack of Mansel Street Goodman's Fields his Attorney, and requesting the payment of the two first quarters, amounting to £25, agreeable to the resolutions of Council May 12, tomorrow the 3rd instant. Ordered, that Mr Burrow do pay the said sum, on Mr slack's producing the letter of Attorney to him. ' 2 June 1768
