Among matters discussed or noted: minutes of the last meeting were read and confirmed. Michael Faraday applied through Mr. Christie for portions of palladium and platinum for his researches, request granted. A report from the Committee of Physiology on Mr. Beck's paper on the nerves of the uterus was read, full text entered into the minutes: recommending the award of a Royal Medal. Read letters from Thomas Wharton Jones and Dr. Robert Lee on the subject of the award of the Royal Medal. Resolved that the award of a Royal Medal should be made to Thomas Snow Beck. Report of the auditors of the Treasurer's accounts, noting a balance of £2,076 11s. 10d.     </dc:description>
