Letter from WE Parry, Admiralty, to Sir Humphry Davy, President, Royal Society Asking for permission to print in the appendix to his Journal of the last Voyage to the South Seas, a brief abstract of observations and experiments made by Lieutenant Foster and himself, a detailed account of which has recently been sent to the Royal Society. The experiements and observations Parry alludes are those on the pendulum; and on the dip, diurnal variation and intensity, of the magnetic needle. 6 April 1826
