Copy of a letter from Pemberton and Meynell to Few and Co Pemberton and Meynell were acting on behalf of the Committee of the Society for the Relief of Destitution in the Metropolis, one of the charities (including the Royal Society) left money in the will of W F Stevenson. Pemberton and Meynell wrote to suggest offering Stevenson's family a compromise figure to prevent further appeal. 26 June 1858
