Note in answer to a letter by Mr [Richard] Townley, from William Brouncker Brouncker's note states that the table was calculated without the help of any figures but by a simple method. However he feels that it is not necessary to mention it here because it has been hinted at and that Townley is in the right A note, in another hand, states that this is Brouncker's answer to the foregoing letter viz Mr Townley Subject: Mathematics 29 January 1671
