Letter, from George Cotton to Henry Oldenburg, dated at Rome Autograph letter Cotton provides some details about the eruption of Mount Etna but says that Lord Winchelsea can give a better eye-witness account. He says that he will send on some stone and ash from Etna. Cotton also makes observations about large hail stones which fell near Siena 17 August 1669
