<dc:title>Letter and extracts, from Gaspard Cuenz to Hans Sloane, dated at Neuschatel</dc:title>
<dc:description>Cuentz provides background for his new system of metaphysics. He sends six extracts/papers. These are:
1 - Extract of the general plan of a new system of metaphysics which Cuentz believes is the same as the one which may explain the celestial system of Isaac Newton
2 - Remarks on the extract of the general plan
3 - Explanations
4 - Other amendments to the plan which were added because of objections
5 - Letter from Cuentz to Osterwald, chief pastor of the Church at Neuschatel
6 - Letter on John Locke by Cuentz

Another paper entitled 'a new system of metaphysics' is by Henry Gerdes and is in Latin. See EL/C3/46 for a letter from Gerdes explaining this dissertation, which was first sent to the Royal Society and then to Cuentz.</dc:description>
