<dc:title>Translated letter and paper, from George Clacius [to the Royal Society], dated at Hall in Saxony</dc:title>
<dc:description>Clacius wishes to communicate his cure for hectic fever and consumption to the Royal Society and to publish it in an English newspaper. He would also like to be received as a Fellow of the Royal Society. A paper with details of the cure is attached.

A note states that the letter was mentioned to the Royal Society on 1 July 1731 but not read, and Philip Zollman was asked to reply. A copy of the reply is attached which states that the Royal Society was more concerned with discoveries, experiments and dissertations relating to natural philosophy than physics itself.
Translation by Philip Zollman</dc:description>
