<dc:title>Letter from Arthur L Goodhart, University College, Oxford to Howard Walter Florey</dc:title>
<dc:description>Thanks for letter - wishes to resign from Council of Fleming Memorial Fund - comments on original plan to raise money to support work at St Mary's and at Oxford - if appeal on these lines has been made in January or February, large sum could have been collected - seem to be engaged in vast publicity campaign which he thinks will be total failure - sees no reason why Oxford University should lend its name to appeal which will be of little advantage to it - Wolfson Foundation has rejected application to support Fleming appeal - comments on this - agrees with Florey's letter to Neuberger - copy should be sent to Lord Tenby - might add that he and Florey are to advise Vice-Chancellor that Oxford University should withdraw from direct association with Appeal - intends to resign from Council.</dc:description>
