<dc:title>Copy letter, from Sir John Herschel to Walter Forman, dated at Slough</dc:title>
<dc:description>Copy of letter, copied as part of the correspondence project led by Colonel John Herschel FRS following the death of his father. A stiff and formal letter telling Walter Forman very clearly that John Frederick William Herschel fully agrees with the Newtonian system [as Walter Forman clearly does not], and that John Frederick William Herschel would not consider trying to apply pressure to the editors of philosophical magazines to publish Walter Forman's writings, in spite of threats from Walter Forman.</dc:description>
