Letter from H [Henry] Holland, 25 Brook Street, to Sir John F [Frederick William] Herschel, Collingwood, Hawkhurst, Kent He has had time to go through Book 3 [of 'The Iliad'] in the last day or so, and he send comments, together with the manuscript itself by separate cover. He fears his comments will be trifling and of little value to Herschel's excellent rendering. He gives line by line suggestions, followed by an apology for his long array of them, many feeble; but he sends them as they are. 19 January 1863
