<dc:title>Letter from C [Charles] Pritchard, Royal Astronomical Society, Somerset House, to Sir John [Frederick William Herschel]</dc:title>
<dc:description>On collating the 'Memoires' with [François] Arago's list in the 1842 'Annuaire' he sees that they have a complete set of his father's [William Herschel's] work. The error arose from [Friedrich Georg Wilhelm von] Struve's miscount in the 'Etudes'. Pritchard thinks that a reprint of these remarkable works would be invaluable, showing the great thoughts of a great man. The moral as well as the scientific effect would be invaluable. Few know what he did, only of the great telescope and the Georgium Sidus. </dc:description>
