<dc:title>Copy letter from John Herschel, Dehra [Dehradun] to [Mary Cornwallis Herschel] </dc:title>
<dc:description>The two or three month trial was not his fault, missing no mail up to 12 or 13 October. He comments on postal arrangements and the lack of replies to letters. He has a ship letter from Aden. He notes an accident, with a pony rolling on his foot. It was not as bad as the pain led him to believe and he will go to the office without the crutches which he ordered. The letter continues on personal matters and errands, including the purchase of seeds, but is partly illegible. </dc:description>
