He has sent a message to Carry, who has gone to London, and will continue to Salisbury. He comments on the wild weather and encloses a note for Bella [Isabella Herschel] at Tunbridge. In a postscript, he writes that 'N Hall...is sold to the Conservative member' [Nether Hall, sold by William Hardcastle to Sir Edward Greene]. 13 December 1872
