Letter from Arthur R Hinks, Cambridge, to Sir William Herschel At the Royal Astronomical Society's Council meeting, it was resolved to ask the Royal Society's Council to join in offering Sir William a copy of the collected scientific papers [of William Herschel], just published. He notes Sir William's contribution in lending unpublished items. He has since learned that the Royal Society concurs in the decision and he should receive the books soon. 25 May 1912
