Minutes of last meeting read

Mr John Dollond of the Strand who was formerly proposed according to the statute was elected a Fellow of the Society.

Read;
1.   A Paper entitled 'Somce thoughts concerning a new method of taking the place of the Moon, by observation of the angles of  position with two adjacent fixed stars; and the constructing of an Instrument got taking htese angles of position; and the use thereof in estimating the beginning and ending of lunar eclipses etc..' by Mr Sam Dunn of Chelsea. Also two models of the proposed instrument.
2.   Paper signed John Stephens dated 2 May 1761 addressed to Mr Henry Baker FRS re Inquiries and Observations concerning different sorts of Corals and Coallines read.
3.   Two notescommunicated by Rev Dr Stukeley FRS as an appendix to a paper of his concerning Zoophites
4.   Dr Stukeley read a dissertation concerning  the Roman Bath discovered at the city of Bath in 1755
5.   Dr Stukeley read a description of the Baths
