The Honourable George Knox, Member of Parliament for the University of Dublin, waas proposed a candidate for election, as the son of a peer he was immediately put to the ballot and chosen into the Society. Dr Charles Burney of Greenwich and Count James Louis de Bournon, of Brianston Street Portman Square, whose certificates had hung the usual time in the Meetings Room, were put to the ballot and chosen into the Society.
