Frederic Gauss from the author. 'An account of a new mode of operation for the removal of Cataracts' by Sir James Earle FRS Count de Bournon, elected at the last meeting, attended. He paid his admission fee, signed a bond for annual contributions, and having also signed the obligation in the Charter Book, was admitted a Fellow of th Society. James Ware Esq of New Bridge Street, whose certificate had hung the usual time in the meeting room was put to the ballot and chosen into the Society. A letter from Baran de Zach to the President dated Seeberg Observatory 20 February 1802 was read, relating to the new Planet [contents summarised] and thanks ordered. The reading of Mr Howard's paper entitled 'Observations and experiments on certain stony and metallic substances which have at different times fallen on the Earth' was concluded.
