Correspondence between Mr Robert Graham and Sir John Vane Robert Graham founded the Repository for Germinal Choice (California, USA) in 1980, with the express intention of gathering the sperm of prominent scientists and Nobel laureates for the purposes of eugenics. It is not evident how he and Sir John Vane first met, but the correspondence, although limited, suggests that they were on friendly terms, and mostly concerns Robert Graham's attempts to persuade Sir John Vane to donate to the sperm bank. The file also includes a brief statement ('Rationale') of the Repository and its aims (not dated); a copy of a report written by Robert Graham for the Regional Gathering of Mensa, 'Orthogenics - the optimization of heredity and environment' (July 1985); and an article about the Repository and Robert Graham, published in 'Medical Economics' (February 17, 1992), entitled 'The children of the Nobel Sperm Bank'. 22 February 1984 - 17 February 1992
