<dc:title>Copy letter from Thomas Hearne, Oxford, to Hans Sloane</dc:title>
  <dc:description> ' Inclosing the following.'

'Above a month since I received a Letter from Mr Thoresby of Leeds concerning some old Instruments lataely found in Yorkshire. They are ll of the same Figure, and therefore he only sent me a Draught of one. He desired my opinion, which accordingly I have given in the inclosed Papers. I understand by him that he writ an Account himself to your of these Monuments, which I suppose will be inserted in the Transactions, If it shall be thought proper, I give free Liberty of addimg my Letter to him at large, which I have now transmitted for that purpose.

I am, with the greatest Respect
Sir, Your most humble Sevant
Thomas Hearne. '
