Commencing 'A Journal of the Weather kept at Three Rivers, from 1st Novr: 1781 to 30th April 1782. By Mr Barr [inserted later]. NB The observations taken from Farenheit's [sic.] Thermometer. The letters a, &amp; b, signify above &amp; below.' 

Previous meteorological journals kept at Montreal by William Barr, for some months of the years 1776-1777 and 1778-1779, were published in the Philosophical Transactions. Barr was styled 'Purveyor to his Majesty's hospitals in Canada'.</dc:description>
