Meteorological observations at Nain [Nunainguk], Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada, [by David Krugelstein?] Daily atmospheric pressure and temperature readings, four taken per day at 8,12, 4 and 8 [a.m., midday, and p.m.] using a single barometer and two thermometers, marked 'L' and 'B' ['London' and 'Barby']. Observations with the second thermometer cease on 11 August 1782 ['N.B. While we have had two Thermometer, & they at Hoffenthal was glad to have one of them, so I did give them that of Barby']. With notes on wind direction and strength, and general weather diary comments.These include notices of the aurora borealis, a partial solar eclipe on 12 April 1782, and occasional observations: [7 December 1781: 'Today the Eskimos begun to catch Seals on the ice'.].
