  <dc:description>Daily meteorological observations made at Fort Albany [now Fort Albany First Nation], the Hudson's Bay Company station in Ontario, Canada. Columns for the date, barometer, thermometer A-C readings, hygrometer, wind direction and strength, weather and general remarks, the latter column left blank. From 29 October 1777 [p.14] two barometers are in use, open and portable, but with an open barometer only from 4 February 1781 [p.41]. There are readings from an additional thermometer 'Mr. Turner's Thermr. E' during May 1780 [p.35].
