<dc:title>Tidal observations at London Dock, England, part 2, by E Russell </dc:title>
<dc:description>Computations of tides arranged by Moon's parallax, 54' to 61' [pp.9-166] calculated by E. Russell. Columns for date, Moon's transit B, time of high water, height, Moon's declination and Sun's declination. This data is then arranged by year, 1802- 1835 [pp.171-207.

The results were discussed in the Bakerian Lecture, 'On the tides at the Port of London', by John William Lubbock, Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society, v.126 (1836), pp.217-266.

The volume commences with a heading and extended note [pp.3-4] by John William Lubbock: 'London-Dock Tide Computations Part II. Containing the time and height of high water at the London Docks, the Sun's and Moon's Declinations corresponding to the apparent Solar Time of the Moon's Transit for every minute of her Horizontal Parallax.'. An additional note [also p.3-4] states that: 'The computations contained in this Book were made by Mr. E. Russell March 1837 under Mr. Lubbock's directions, the expence being defrayed out of a grant of money placed at Mr. Lubbock's disposal by the British Association for the Advancement of Science'. There is an additional title page [p.171] for the annual arrangment of data: 'London Tide Computations Part IV...'</dc:description>
