Continuing with term day observations of the declination, bifilar, and vertical force magnetometers, beginning on 18 December at 10.00pm [Gottingen mean time], with associated barometer, wet and dry thermometer, wind, rain, and cloud observations. Also, direction or azimuth of the wind; force of the wind; a general abstract of meteorological observations; temperature of dew point, elasticity of vapour, maximum and minimum temperature and solar and terrestrial radiation; and a register of rain and evaporation.   

Each monthly sheet is signed by S.O.E. Ludlow, as Superintendent of the Observatory. Inscribed in pencil [p.1]: '1st Copy December 1844'. Inscribed [p.14]: 'Madras Met. Obs. December 1844'.</dc:description>
