The observer is noted by initial as 'W' [Wilcox].  With observations taken with an 18-inch altitude and azimuth circle on 15 May, 'for determining the azimuth of the Declinometer Reading Telescope'. Also included [pp.2-3] 'Experiment of Vibration' and 'Experiment of Deflection', both made on 13 May 1844.
