Entries for 1 July 1827-31 March 1834 are signed by Joseph Kitchen [pp.1-161]; entries for 1 April 1834-31 May 1834 are signed by William Asbridge [pp.163-166]; entries for 1 June 1834-30 September 1834 are signed by Henry Rea [pp.167-180]; entries for 1 June 1835-31 August 1835 are signed by Edward Horsfall [pp.191-196]. Verso pages are often blank, but some entries extend to those pages. Several pages are addressed to 'Jesse Hartley Esqr.'.    

Each sheet is headed: 'Meteorological Register for the Port of Liverpool.' The pencil inscription 'Salthouse 1/2 Tide Dock' appears [p.1] and in ink [p.196] 'Meteorological Reports Liverpool 1827 to 1835 to Jesse Hartley Esqr.'.</dc:description>
