<dc:title>Magnetic and meteorological curves made at Singapore Magnetic Observatory, by Charles Morgan Elliot</dc:title>
<dc:description>Graphs commencing with hourly curves of: the barometer (corrected and uncorrected); standard, dry and wet bulb thermometers; and mean daily curves of the declination, horizontal force, and vertical force magnetometers. There are some variations in the data recorded, with the declination magnetometer noted as being 'out of adjustment' in July 1843; from that month solar radiation is also recorded, with actinometer readings from September.

Each sheet is signed by 'C.M. Elliot, Lt Engineers'. There are occasional notes by him, including [p.2]: 'The barometer has never been so high as it was on the 24th of this month' [January 1843]. There is a blank cover sheet [pp.95-96] inscribed: 'Magnetic Observations Singapore May 1843'. </dc:description>
