With results and general remarks. Headed: 'Meteorological Register for 1840, kept at Montreal, Lower Canada, Latitude 45 degrees 30' N. Longitude 73 degrees 22' W.'. The sheet contains: a table of monthly barometer and thermometer readings, giving mean barometric pressures and mean temperatures [in Farhenheit], with the dates on minimum and maximum values within each month. A linear graphical representation of range of the thermometer and barometer readings, with wind directions and weather conditions expressed as numbers of days of the year. A second line graph shows inches of rain and snow in each month. With a summary of results and general remarks, including on gales and thunder storms.
