  <dc:description>Hourly hygrometer and wind observations made at Deesa, Gujarat State. Readings on 'Term-days', one set per month, commencing from 6.00am, and ending at 5.00am on the subsequent day. Times of observation appear in the 'day of the month' column; the hygrometer and wind columns are completed, together with general weather remarks. All other columns are not filled, January-September; but from October 1858 the barometer reading column is also used.     

Each sheet is headed 'No. 1 Hourly Observations taken at the Meteorological Observatory at Camp Deesa...' Inscribed 'Observations made by Corp. George Imrie H.M. 83rd Regt.'. Variously signed and endorsed by the Regimental Surgeon, Richard Gilborne, and by the Assistant Surgeons at the hospital, William Carden Roe, James Bonnyman and Alexander Robert Kilroy. Typed paper label [p.24]: 'Deasa. Hourly met. obs. for one day in every month. 1858.'.</dc:description>
