  <dc:description>Daily meteorological registers kept at the town and penal settlement of Port Macquarie, New South Wales, Australia. Readings of a barometer, a thermometer, and notes on wind direction taken at sunrise, 6.00am, 9.00am, 12.00 noon, 3.00pm and 6.00pm. From May 1822, 6.00pm changes to 'sunset'. The sheets July-December 1822 are in a different hand from the first six months' records.

Each of sheet is headed: 'Meteorological Diary for... [month] 1822...'. With notes [p.2] including in pencil: 'Copies Meteorological Observations from 1st Jany to 31 Decr. 1822 at Port Macquarrie'. In ink: 'It has not been communicated to me the elevation of this station above the level of the Sea but I presume not 50 feet T.B. [?]'. </dc:description>
