Alongside these are deleted records of observations made at Bombay Esplanade 'near the Church Gate', 24 January and 2-23 February 1829. Columns for date and time of observations, thermometer, dew point and difference, with general weather remarks.

Headed [p.1]: 'Meteorological observations made at Calcutta verandah open to the south second floor of the house N2 Jauna Bazar St'. A later note on the same page refers to the new observing location 'At a window open to the north; third floor of the house N4 Chawringhee'.   </dc:description>
