Columns record: dates and times of observations, readings from a barometer 115 feet above sea-level, a Fahrenheit thermometer attached to the barometer, a Fahrenheit thermometer detached in open air facing north, a Fahrenheit thermometer in a 60-feet deep well, with wind direction and general remarks on the weather. A note on timekeeping describes the use of a sextant and pendulum clock.
