Columns record: barometer and thermometer readings at 8.00am, 2.00pm and 8.00pm [but with omissions], sea water temperature at 2.00pm, hygrometer readings [again with omissions - 'Being occupied with astronomical observations I lost the Hygrometer at the proper time'], ship's position by latitude and longitude, wind direction and strength, weather and general remarks. The ship was anchored at Santa Cruz, Tenerife, 16-19 March.
