With a scale of 1cm: 1000 metres. The manuscript is related to the published paper: 'An account of experiments on the velocity of sound, made in Holland', by G. Moll and A. van Beek, Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society, v.114 (1824), pp.424-456. In that paper, the positions of the two elevated observing stations [Zevenboompjes, near Amersfoort, and Kooltjesberg, near Naarden] were measured against known structures, the steeples of Utrecht, Naarden and Amersfoort. Measurements were taken with a 10-inch repeating circle by Lenoir of Paris. June 1823
