Letter from P. Mitchell, Sydney, New South Wales, to Sir Roderick Impey Murchison Regarding the near completion of Mitchell's trigonometrical map and geological observations of the colony. Mitchell further references his previous receipt of the Proceedings of the Geological Society and expresses his desire to become a member. In relation to this, he addresses Murchison as a member of the Committee of the Geological Society. Mitchell further submits a paper on the trisection of the angle to Murchison as a Fellow of the Royal Society to present for potential publication. [Enclosures not present.] 10 June 1831
