<dc:title>Letter from [Edward Albert] Schafer, University College London, to the Secretaries of the Royal Society</dc:title>
<dc:description>Schafer refers to a grant of £20 he was awarded last year to assist research being carried out by [John Rose] Bradford and [William Maddock] Bayliss 'upon the physiology of the heart' and secreting glands. Results of the research have been published by the Proceedings of the Royal Society, as well as the Physiological Society. The grant has now been 'expended' and Schafer would like to apply for an additional grant of the same amount to further aid this research.</dc:description>
