Letter from [Frederic Charles] Danvers, Registrar and Superintendent of Records, India Office, Whitehall, to the Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society 'Sir, I am directed to acknowledge the receipt of your letter dated the 23rd instant, and, in reply, to acquaint you that the 24 parcels of M.S.S. therewith forwarded, have been duly received and have been transmitted, through the Store Department of this Office, to the address of the Surveyor General of India at Calcutta.
