<dc:title>Letter from [William Turner] Thiselton-Dyer, Royal Gardens, Kew, to Professor [Michael] Foster, Secretary of the Royal Society</dc:title>
<dc:description>Thiselton-Dyer acknowledges Herbert Rix's letter informing him of his appointment as Chairman of the Board E of the Government Grant Committee, by the President and Council of the Royal Society. Though 'extremely occupied with official work' Thiselton-Dyer feels he cannot refuse 'the duty' that he has been entrusted with. Suggests the Council should taken into consideration refulations 19 concerning 'the ultimate destination of specimens collected at the public expense' in regard to Boards D, E and F.</dc:description>
