  <dc:description>Recently returned from the South Pacific bringing with him a considerable collection comprising of zoological and ethnographical content, including birds; reptiles; fishes; echinodermus; insects; land mollusca; arachnida, crustacea; gephyrea; reef corals; alcyonaria; millepora; as well as human remains, from Funafuti, Rotuma, and Fiji. 

Informs on the distribution of the collection, listing the items and the individuals currently studying them, however, not all items have been distributed. Deems it neccessary to have the collection fully illustrated, informing of his current expenses, and estimates for future expenditure in achieving this goal, and seeking a grant from the Royal Society.</dc:description>
