Informs he has been directed to forward it to the Royal Society and suggest a joint meeting, of the various Royal Societies, in Winchester in 1901, with a view to commemorate he thousandth anniversary of the death of King Alfred. Lists suggestions of appropriate features of the prospective meeting. </dc:description>
