Letter from Reginald Brett, HM Office of Works, Buckingham Palace to the Secretary of the Royal Society, Burlington House Informs that the approach to take for avoiding detriment to the work of the Kew Observatory from the proposed adjacent electric tramway, a clause safeguarding the Observatory should be inserted in the Bill of the United London Tramways Company, and the said clause should be drawn up by the Treasury Solicitor in consultation with an authorised representative of the Royal Society. 17 February 1898
